Truth About Trucking Summary

For almost three years now my wife Donna and I have been busy with the website TruthAboutTrucking.com and AskTheTrucker.com.

Here we have expressed the truth concerning the trucking industry, including all its' short-comings and less desirable features. We spared nothing when it came to unveiling the scams, lies, and schemes that so many drivers and truck driving students have fallen prey to.

Allen had a vision almost 9 years ago, to expose the trucking industry and reveal to everybody the tricks used by the industry , mainly which they use to exploit and profit from their drivers and student drivers. Allen's hope in doing this initially was to alert people to these scams so that they could avoid them and thus become successful in an industry which so many had previously failed. The tool that he used to successfully distribute this information was "his Pen". Allen's book, "The Truth About Trucking" was written in 2000, and revised several times since then.

TruthAboutTrucking.com hits the Internet in 2005

In 2005 we, Allen and Donna decided to get this important information out to as many people as possible. The medium we used was the interent ( which was a whole new way of life to us!) But, bound and determined we were, and learned the different ways needed to succeed and get Allen's information out to the public.. A modest price was charged in order to maintain the cost of the Internet.

It was at this time Allen also began writing his free articles about truck driving schools and trucking companies, and distributed them freely to the many article directories across the Internet. It wasn't long after that, that the now popular blog AskTheTrucker.com was born It was here that many would post their opinion and ask their questions, along with reading the many posts and news events. At this time "The Truth About Trucking was offered both by immediate download and a CD ROM in PDF format.

The positive response to this information was enormous and was all that was needed to keep the underlying passion and desire to see the vision of "reaching thousands" alive. Hundreds of e-mails poured in and continued to keep the momentum going.

This positive direction continued for almost three years, during which time Allen had acquired expert status and a reputation for being an authority within the trucking industry for students and new drivers.

Along with making the information available to everyone as an immediate download, there is the new product added to the package. Many had written in expressing the PDF CD which was offered, to be an Audio CD. Now "The Truth About Trucking" comes in 2 audio CD's along with the e-book and six Bonus Reports.

A New Vision Unveiled

Now, nearly nine years after the original conception of "The Truth About Trucking", there is a new vision, even greater than getting "The Truth About Trucking" out to everyone.

This new vision and desire is to Raise the Standards of the Trucking Industry. It is our belief, that we can not only alert people to the trucking industry scams, but with enough people to join the "cause", a positive change can be accomplished. We believe that there are enough trucking sites and blogs which will join forces and spread the word. We've all heard "power is in numbers" and that is what the new vision is all about.

We encourage our readers to share the articles and input that many of the other blogs and forums have to offer. There are many sites who have similar desires and want to see drivers and students treated fairly and ultimately succeed. Also, their experience in the trucking industry is second to none, and reading and commenting on their blogs and forums will create a unison of thought and belief.

BlogTalkRadio- A Truckers Voice

Finally, as one more way to reach thousands, Allen has a radio show, designed to inform and enlighten all who wish to learn about the many aspects of the trucking industry. The debut of this show will be Saturday, August 9th at 2PM EST. The show will be live and listeners are encouraged to call in. There is a welcome message posted at the moment, a brief introduction of what the show will be about. The show will be recorded also, for all those who can not make the live event.

We are hoping that we can offer our followers and subscribers good quality content which they can use as a benefit towards their career in trucking. We wish all to have a successful career in trucking, starting from the time they enter a CDL truck driving school all the way to owning their own rig if that is their desire. We would like to see trucking companies appreciate the sacrifices and committment of the industry's best.

By improving the Standards of the Trucking Industry, the quality of the drivers will also be improved, and hopefully the 125% turnover rate can once and for all be a "thing of the past".

Allen Newest 3 Books Available

Recently, Allen's 2 latest Books have been offered and included as a 3 BOOK Trucking Special

"The Truth About Trucking", "So You've Got Your CDL...Now What?"  and  The Best Truck Driving Jobs- A State by State Guide"  completes his set of trucking information. The 3 book information is offered as an e-book or CD ROM and includes everything the serious trucker needs to know in order to make trucking a successful career.

He is hoping that combining all 3 books will reduce costs for those in need of this information.

I graduated from driving school in 06. It has been a real eye opener finding how this trucking business really is. Before going to school I bought into all the industry hype, 50K a yr., generous home time, bla, bla, bla. I am currently working as a O.T.R. driver. It's taken me this long to learn that until I get a year of OTR on my resume, I cannot get the job I want. I hate OTR, but am paying my dues. This is something I never heard about in school or any trucking magazines. Can you believe these trucking companys consider 2 days off after being out for 2 or 3 weeks generous? I barely get my laundry done, bills paid, and its time to hit the road again. Rediculous!

Hi Daniel,

Yes, you try to tell people, but I think many still don't believe it's quite as bad as is described.

We're trying to change all that though, so get on board.

Talk to you tomorrow on the show....) 2PM EST

Hi,

What's the best place to locate competitive quote rates. I work for a company that may get involved in moving equipment and they need to know what the average rates are to move equipment like bull dozers, forklifts, ect.

The trucking industry provides an essential service to the American economy by transporting large quantities of raw materials, works in process, and finished goods over land—typically from manufacturing plants to retail distribution centers. Trucks are also important to the construction industry, as dump trucks and portable concrete mixers are necessary to move the large amounts of rocks, dirt, concrete, and other building materials used in construction. Trucks in America are responsible for the majority of freight movement over land, and are vital tools in the manufacturing, transportation, and warehousing industries.

Thank you for this posting on Trucking. Trucking jobs are important, but regularly neglected in our society. Our nation will need to support the trucking industry to help keep our country expanding.

A truckers paradise to hang out at.

I found trucking to be the worst job I ever had. Long hours, low pay and constant stress. Oh let's not forget the truck stops. Filthy overpriced holes. Lying dispatchers. So glad I left the industry. I hope it gets exposed for what it is.
